Bill Norton is the National Support Team Constitutional Coordinator for Tea Party Patriots.org. He is responsible for developing educational material related to the Constitution for the organization. He is also the author of the book The Miracle of America, Birth of a Nation. It consists of a series of short inspiring stories from our founding. Bill has also been volunteering with the National Center for Constitutional Studies, or NCCS, for 10 years updating educational material related to the Constitution. He has been a presenter for the organization for 3 years. He has presented The Making of America seminar over 125 times in more than 40 states, including two state legislatures. He has spoken at dozens of Tea Party rallies, and on the Tea Party movement at numerous venues, including Harvard University and other likely and unlikely platforms. Bill has owned a contracting company in Arizona for 22 years and currently resides in Gilbert, Arizona with his wife Ingra and four small children. Dr. Tim Johnson was Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio by his single mother. He earned the Boy Scouts of America’s highest rank, the Eagle Scout Award, at the age of 14, he was also a member of his High School’s 1980 and 1981 state football championship teams. Graduating ‘Honor Graduate’ from the United States Army Ammunition Advance Individual Training School, Dr. Johnson was later commissioned as a Second Lieutenant through the University of Arizona Wildcat Battalion. Serving a combine 23 years, he attained the rank of Major and received numerous military honors. Dr. Johnson made national history on June 13, 2009, when he was elected Vice Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, becoming the first Black American to hold the position and the highest ranking party official since the state party’s inception in 1867. He was elected to be a delegate to the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis and re-elected in the spring of 2009 as Chairman of the Buncombe County Republican Party. He founded The Frederick Douglass Foundation in December 2008, and bills itself is the largest Christ-Centered, Multi-Ethnic and Republican ministry in America. A national nonprofit grassroots education and public policy organization, they bring the sanctity of free market and limited government ideas to bear on the hardest problems facing our nation. With chapters across the country, they are a collection of pro-active individuals who are committed to developing innovative and new approaches to today’s problems with the assistance of elected officials, scholars from universities and colleges and community activist. Robert Arnakis is the Senior Director of Domestic and International Programs for The Leadership Institute, the nation’s premier public policy training organization. Robert oversees divisions which provide political education and training to tens of thousands of activist, elected officials, and political staffers annually. Robert’s 15 years of grassroots organizing, campaign, fundraising, and communications experience has established him as one the country’s top political trainers. His background includes serving as campaign staff on presidential, congressional, municipal, and initiative-focused campaigns. Robert’s best campaign memory was assisting U.S. Senator John Thune in defeating Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. In addition to Mr. Arnakis’s domestic work, he is frequently asked to aid international delegations. His body of work includes training NGO’s, government officials and political party leadership from over three dozen countries including: Great Briatian, Canada, Iraq, China, India, Cambodia, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Serbia, Nigeria, Bolivia, Nicaragua, and Peru. Most recently Robert worked with party leaders in East Timor, the world’s youngest democratic country. Dan Tripp is founder and president of Ground Game Strategies. Dan brings a wealth of information and legislative, business and grassroots contacts to your project. Tripp has worked on dozens of national, state and local campaigns, and has traveled across the United States organizing issue-advocacy projects. To date, he has organized or managed projects in 42 states. Prior to joining the political world, he served in the South Carolina State Legislature for 12 years (’94-’06). After voluntarily leaving the Legislature in 2006, he served as National Political Director with Americans for Limited Government in Fairfax, Virginia. While there, Tripp organized and managed issue advocacy projects, statewide ballot initiatives and independent expenditures in over 25 states. He has also worked on 3 presidential campaigns: Herman Cain (’12), John McCain (’00) and Phil Gramm (’96).Dan was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives in 1994—at the age of twenty four-and served in the legislature for twelve years. He credits his win at such an early age to hard work, knocking on thousands of targeted voters’ doors and the grassroots training he received at the Leadership Institute in the early 1990s. While serving in the House, he chaired the House Insurance subcommittee and was a leader of market-based health and property/casualty insurance reforms in South Carolina.
Tripp resides in Mauldin, South Carolina with his two children. He is an avid whitetail bow hunter and occasionally wets his hook in the black waters of lowcountry South Carolina or the raging backwaters of Montana. He is engaged to Alysia Barzee of Kansas City, Missouri.
Greg R. Lawson is the Statehouse Liaison and Policy Analyst at the Buckeye Institute. Lawson graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University in 2000 with a Major in Communications and a Minor in Economics. His interest in the intersection of public policy and politics began while in college and fully took off when he became a Legislative Service Commission Intern in 2001 working with a state representative. Lawson took that legislative experience with him to the Ohio Council for Home Care where he focused on Medicaid issues, PAC fundraising and grassroots organizing. Lawson has also served as a Legislative Liaison with the Ohio Department of Commerce. Other positions Lawson has served in include as a public relations strategist with a local PR company, TRIAD Inc. and as Director of Communications for a national hunting advocacy organization based in Columbus, the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance. Lawson has been active at the grassroots level in numerous local, county and statewide political campaigns since 2002. He serves on the boards of two Columbus based charter schools and is a member of the Columbus Council on World Affairs. Greg will deliver multiple sessions on the State Issues track. At 20 years old, Charlie Kirk has appeared on Fox News, CNBC, and FOX Business News over seventy five times including frequent appearances on “Your World with Neil Cavuto” “Varney & Co.” and “The Willis Report.” He is a featured columnist for the Washington Times and a contributor for Breitbart.com. In addition to his entrepreneurial political endeavors, Charlie plays every type of Saxophone, was captain of his school’s Varsity Basketball and Football team, and is a proud Eagle Scout.
