Anti-Lockdown, Anti-Business Closure, Pro-Liberty protests are breaking out across the Midwest as the over-hyped threat from Coronavirus is exposed as clearly no more deadly than a regular flu. While the media and State and Federal government officials breathlessly dramatize each day's Coronavirus "confirmed cases" and "death counts"  - currently at 644,188 cases and 28,579 deaths in the US - they refuse to post comparative numbers for the regular flu.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that from Oct. 1, 2019 through April 4, 2020, there were between 39 million and 56 million of flu illnesses; between 18 million and 26 million medical visits due to flu; between 410,000 and 740,000 hospitalizations due to flu; and between 24,000 and 62,000 of deaths due to flu.

So, the media and the government are telling the American people that you should panic and stay in your home because 644,000 (.0019 of the US population) have been infected by coronavirus but you should NOT be panicked when 39 MILLION people (11.81% of the US population) have been infected with the regular flu? Even after as many as 62,000 people may have died from the regular flu compared to 28,000 from coronavirus? The American people are realizing that the numbers do not add up and that the case for closing businesses and locking people in their homes are not valid.

The canard that we had to  shut down our economy and our lives to "flatten the curve" has now been abandoned because the "projected" needs for hospital beds and ventilators were just a fraction of those that were actually used. Now, after clearly over-achieving that goal, the media and the government officials have moved the goal line and are trying to make the case that coronavirus is so serious that we must stay shut down for at least months and ultimately until we "have a vaccine".  

This despite the fact that last year's regular flu vaccine was only 50% effective. This despite the fact that 99.97% of people who get the coronavirus do NOT DIE from it, and that 80% of the people who die from it have underlying conditions, and that nations like Sweden who did not shut down their economy have only had deaths equivelent to the regular flu.

As a result, and in an effort to protect and defend their own freedom, liberty and prosperity, citizens are taking matters into their own hands and protesting and demanding that we  go back to work immediately and that the draconian infringements on our liberties be ended:

Anti shutdown protest planned to take place in front of State Capitol building next week (Monday, April 20th)

President Trump is expected to announce plans shortly to open up certain states before the May 1, 2020 deadline and set testing and other guideline for all states to open up once the states meet those guidelines. Many business leaders are making it clear to President Trump that if we do not get back to work and re-start the economy by May 1, 2020 that we risk an economic depression worse than any other in history that will kill millions of more people than the coronavirus will ever kill. The American people understand that and if the President and state governors do not lift the lockdown, it is clear that they will begin to ignore the orders of the government and simple open up on their own. Particularly since it is also clear that most of these restrictions being impossed on citizens have NO BASIS in law and are Un-Constitutional.
